The Sacred Responsibility of Leadership in the Workplace
Being a Leader in Indian Country… Things No One Told Us. Leadership in Indian Country can carry responsibilities that extend far beyond a job description. Relationships matter. Community matters. Culture matters. And sometimes, the lines between being a leader, a colleague, a community member, and someone others turn to for support can become difficult to navigate. The Sacred Responsibility of Leadership in the Workplace invites participants to look beyond leadership as a position and consider it as a responsibility to those we serve, those we lead, and those who will come after us.

Leading Through Challenge
Through the framework My Words – My Actions – My Being, participants will explore whether what they say, what they do, and how they show up are aligned and the influence this has on their credibility as a leader. Leadership is revealed not only in moments when things go well but also in moments when we are challenged. Leading Through Challenge invites participants to examine the choices they make as leaders and the impact those choices have on relationships, trust, and workplace culture.

Workplace Culture: Relationships, Respect, and Responsibility
Workplace Culture: Relationships, Respect & Responsibility invites participants to explore the realities of workplace culture through a culturally grounded lens, emphasizing personal accountability, meaningful relationships, and shared responsibility. Because a supportive workplace is not something we simply expect others to create. It is something we build, support and strengthen together through our relationships, our respect for one another, and the responsibilities we carry.

Emotional Intelligence: Honoring Self and Others
Every person we meet in the workplace carries a story we may never fully know. Behind our words, reactions, and behaviors are experiences, beliefs, emotions, and struggles that shape how we see the world and interact with those around us. Through a culturally grounded framework of Honoring Self, Honoring Others, and Honoring Relationships, participants will explore how self-awareness, empathy, communication, and accountability influence the relationships we build and the culture we create together.

Indigenous Growth Mindset
Leadership is a lifelong cycle of evolving learning, reflection, and growth. This culturally grounded training invites participants to examine the mindset they bring to leadership and consider how humility, resilience, accountability, and continuous learning can strengthen the way they lead. Grounded in Indigenous values and relational responsibility, participants are encouraged to learn from experience, grow through challenges, and carry what they learn forward for the benefit of our relatives, the Tribal Nations, Indigenous-serving organizations, and future generations

The Character We Carry
Leadership is shaped by character. This leadership journey invites participants to look beyond leadership titles and examine the person behind the position. Through reflection, meaningful conversation, and practical application, participants explore eight essential leadership qualities: Discipline, Courage, Responsibility, Relationships, Resilience, Humility, Integrity, and Service. The training recognizes that leadership is not defined solely by authority or position. It is reflected in how we show up, how we treat one another, how we respond when challenged, the choices we make, and the example we set as Indigenous Leaders.
Mindfulness in Indigenous Leadership
Mindfulness in Indigenous Leadership offers a culturally grounded opportunity to explore the importance of presence, self-awareness, balance, and intentional leadership. Through the exploration of Indigenous Mindfulness Elements in Leadership, participants will reflect on how they lead, how they respond under pressure, and how their mindfulness influences the relationships and decisions around them. The training concludes by exploring the qualities of a mindful Indigenous leader and inviting participants to reconnect with grounding reflections that support purposeful, relationship-centered leadership.
